Minivans are built for practicality, but who says they can’t be fun too? The 2025 Honda Odyssey handles all the usual tasks, i.e., hauling kids, groceries, and cargo, but with a little excitement behind the wheel. If you’re going to spend years shuttling your crew around, why not enjoy the drive, too?

What’s New?

The current generation of the Odyssey has been rolling around 2018 with only a few tweaks along the way, so for 2025, Honda decided it was time for some updates. The most noticeable change is the new face, featuring a new grille, reshaped fascias, and larger fog light surrounds. Honda says the new rear bumper is dressed up with the same vertical reflectors used on the Acura NSX supercar. Not something you’d expect from a minivan, but here we are.

The interior got its share of improvements, too, especially in the tech department. Gone is the traditional gauge cluster, replaced by a seven-inch digital display. A nine-inch infotainment display is standard on every Odyssey. This screen features a faster processor for lag-free operation. Rear passengers are also in for a treat with a revamped entertainment system, now sporting a 12.8-inch screen, up from the previous 10.2 inches.

Which Family-Friendly Features Should You Know About?

The 2025 Odyssey comes packed with loads of features to make family life a little easier. One of the best is the second-row Magic Seats. These innovative seats can slide side-to-side and back and forth, giving you lots of options for extra space and comfort. They can also fold flat for easy removal and carrying.

Other standard and available features you’ll appreciate as a parent include an in-cabin camera, an in-vehicle intercom system, a foot-activated power liftgate, USB ports on all three rows, and 38.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row.

Is It Powerful?

Honda is sticking with their tried-and-true 280-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 for the 2025 Odyssey. It’s a solid, reliable powerhouse that should keep things moving smoothly even with a full load. Plus, it’s pretty efficient, delivering an estimated 19 mpg city and 28 mpg city.

It’s worth noting that the Odyssey is one of the more powerful minivans out there. For comparison, the Toyota Sienna delivers 245 horsepower while the Kia Carnival puts out 242 miles.
